Your iconic MINI Electric will always have your back with the new standard Lane Departure Warning, built to ensure your safety on the road with visual warning and vibrations in the steering wheel to notify you when you are drifting from your lane. We’ve also included standard Active Driving Assistant with active safety features such as Pedestrian and Front Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation.

DIGITAL UPGRADES YOU’LL LOVE
We turned the volume way up when it came to the Electric Hardtop 2 Door radio. This model now features the larger 8.8″ Touchscreen with an updated user interface and High Gloss Black detail. We also replaced the Analog Cluster with our brand new Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster. Now, you can easily view information like Vehicle Speed, Driving Modes, Turn by Turn Navigation, Communications, Multimedia, and much more digitally.

The 2023 Mazda CX-50 is the first Mazda vehicle manufactured at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) plant in Huntsville, Alabama. This all-new, rugged and capable crossover SUV is purpose-built for the active lifestyles of North Americans. It combines superior on-road driving dynamics and sophisticated design, a signature of any Mazda vehicle while enabling drivers to venture further into the outdoors and off-road.

The CX-50 comes adventure-ready and signifies a new styling expression in the Mazda lineup that blends the brand’s striking Kodo design with outdoor confidence. CX-50 respectfully interacts with its newfound surroundings while emphasizing Mazda’s trademark driving experience and expanded off-road capability, allowing drivers to be closer to nature.

The CX-50 is available in 10 packages with two efficient powertrain choices – a Skyactiv-G 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, or a Skyactiv-G 2.5L Turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 256 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque on premium 93 octane gas, 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque on regular 87 octane gas. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The CX-50 comes standard with i-Activ All-Wheel Drive (AWD) technology and new Mazda Intelligent Drive Select, or Mi-Drive with Sport, Off-Road, and Towing modes on select packages. Drive modes can be selected with the Mi-Drive control and will help the crossover SUV perform naturally and confidently in a wide variety of driving conditions, such as off-road terrain, snow, or while towing up to 3,500 pounds on select packages.

If Alec Issigonis could design the classic Mini again today, the iconic small car would have an electric motor. After all, the original launched in 1959 was created during an oil crisis and based on the idea of saving fuel and transporting four occupants and their luggage in the smallest possible footprint. To this day, MINI remains linked to the principles of designer Issigonis with its creative use of space and driving fun. The MINI Recharged project is an opportunity to continue telling the story of the classic Mini in the 21st century, in a sustainable way.

The conversion of classic Minis to an electric drive combines traditional values with future-oriented technology. The idea was born even before the British premium manufacturer had a fully electric car on offer with the MINI Cooper SE (electricity consumption combined:17.6 – 15.2 kWh/100 km according to WLTP; CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km.). As a one-off, a classic Mini Electric was built in 2018 and presented at the New York Auto Show. The reactions were so positive that a dedicated team from MINI Plant Oxford set to work and developed the plan to make a corresponding offer available to customers who own a classic Mini.

5 COLD WEATHER TIRE MYTHS.
SOMETIMES CALLED SNOW TIRES OR WINTER TIRES, COLD WEATHER

1. WINTER TIRES ARE ONLY FOR SNOW.
   Anyone who lives where the weather gets a little cooler can benefit from winter tires. In colder temperatures, all-season tires stiffen, reducing grip. The rubber compounds and other components that make up winter tires keep them flexible in temperatures below 45°F. Tire flexibility allows for better vehicle handling and stopping.
2. BRAKES ALONE STOP MY VEHICLE.
   Tires greatly affect your vehicle’s stopping distance. Especially when roads are slick, tires without specifically designed winter tread patterns can simply slide when the brakes are applied. Winter tires have deep grooves and small slits called sipes that cut through snow and ice, keeping more of your tire in contact with the road.
3. MY ALL-SEASON TIRES WORK FINE IN THE WINTER.
   All-season tires are great for mild weather changes, but anyone who experiences cooler winters can get better performance with winter tires. In addition to having flexible compounds and specialized tread designs, winter tires help make your all-season tires last longer: while the winter ones are on, the all-season ones aren’t wearing down.
4. WINTER TIRES ARE MORE EXPENSIVE.
   The cost of winter tires is usually comparable to any other kind of tire. Plus, switching between winter tires and all-season or summer tires makes both sets last longer than they normally would.
5. I HAVE FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE, I DON’T NEED WINTER TIRES.
   Ever see SUVs on the side of the road when the weather’s bad? They probably don’t have winter tires. In the winter, four-wheel drive can help you get going but won’t help when you’re trying to stop. Four-wheel drive helps you control the tires, but that doesn’t mean much if the tires themselves aren’t flexible enough or don’t have the right tread design to push snow and ice out of their way.

Tires are your only four points of contact with the road. The more they touch the road, the safer they are. Winter tires make all the difference in colder temperatures and in snowy, icy conditions.
