It can be a bit confusing when you're trying to decide what to do at the end of your lease, so we want to help guide you through every factor involved so that you can make the informed decision that's best for you and your particular situation.
PLAN AHEAD
It's generally a good idea to contact Passport BMW 90 days before your lease expires. We'll go over all of your options, and schedule a pre-inspection so that you'll have an itemized list of potential charges for excess wear and use. With this information, you'll be able to decide what repairs, if any, to make before your lease is up.
KNOW YOUR OPTIONS
You have several options for what to do the end of your lease.
• Return your leased BMW to us and either lease or purchase a new one. By far the easiest choice you can make, this is also the most popular option for our loyal customers. We offer owner loyalty programs, and even have programs to accommodate you if you'd like to terminate your existing lease early and get into a new BMW. Our Client Advisors can explain these programs in much greater detail.
• Purchase the BMW you've been leasing all along. When you choose this route, there's no need for us to examine your vehicle as there aren't any end-of-term return obligations to consider. You continue driving the vehicle you know and love, and if your vehicle qualifies for the BMW Certified Pre-Owned program we'll certify it and provide all of the paperwork needed for you to purchase it.
• You can simply return your BMW to Passport BMW. We'll take care of the paperwork to make the process easy for you, so all you'll need to worry about are any outstanding payments, mileage fees, wear and tear charges and any other end-of-lease obligations that may apply. This option is available even if you didn't lease your BMW through us.
